Why we need your support!

The UMBC Percussion Ensemble has been invited to perform at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College Day of Percussion on March 11th and at the Lehman College Day of Percussion on March 12th! Our repertoire will include music by UMBC Music Department alumna Angela Lawrence and local composer Jared Denhard among other luminaries. Other performers will include percussion groups from the Royal Irish Academy of Music, the Aaron Copland School of Music, and Lehman College.  We will hear clinics/masterclasses by renowned musicians Morris Lang (New York Philharmonic), and Victor Rendon, leader of the Bronx Conexion Latin Jazz Big Band. In addition, we will attend a public performance by Victor Rendon's band at the Nuyorican Poet's Cafe in Manhattan!

Students participating in the tour are: Alex Armbruster, Brandon Gouin, Christian Hartman, Kyra O’Donnell, Adam Smith and Jonathan Sotelo!

All funds raised will help to fund lodging, transportation, food, and admission to the Bronx Conexion Latin Jazz Big Band performance. Thank you, in advance, for your support!

All funds raised are administered by the UMBC Foundation for the benefit of UMBC.
