Help students learn about the needs of refugee children in Baltimore City

Every Spring Break, groups of UMBC students engage in experiential learning trips, or Alternative Spring Breaks (ASB). On this trip, 11 UMBC students will learn about refugee child inclusion in Baltimore City from folk who devote their professions to meeting the needs of the children. In the real world today, situations appear to be more against them than in support of them.

This ASB trip is a tangible approach to understanding what those situations entail through critical thinking and reflection.  Help us make this happen!

How you can Make A Difference

Your support will remove any financial barriers that UMBC students may have with affording this experience. Check out the column on the right to see how your contribution does exactly that! Your contribution would be very much appreciated as well as sharing this page with anyone you think would support us- on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, by email, telephone, or on your blog.

Please help us make this happen!  Thank you.

All funds raised are administered by the UMBC Foundation for the benefit of UMBC.
