Support a UMBC student's career success and ability to impact their community. Help us break down financial barriers and enable more UMBC students to pursue career-advancing applied learning opportunities!
Getting resume-building experience during college is a critical step in landing a great job after graduation, but many experiences are unpaid and—often—out of reach.
The UMBC Student Internship & Service Fund will support students participating in unpaid internships and service opportunities by offsetting living, transportation, and other expenses.
Unpaid experiences are offered in startups, nonprofits, arts organizations, media and communications, education, human services, and government. In 2018, 25 percent of UMBC students reported having unpaid internships.
If you and 199 UMBC alumni, students, family members and friends each donate $50, we will meet our goal of $10,000.
And, you can double your impact to the Student Internship & Service Fund! Your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $2,500, thanks to the generosity of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Your generous support today will impact a student's future!
Read about the experiences of our 2018 Fund recipients via the link below. Be sure to drop a comment; we would love to hear how internships and service-learning have impacted you.
Thank you, in advance, for your support!
