Support a UMBC student's career success and ability to impact their community. Help us break down financial barriers and enable more UMBC students to pursue career-advancing professional opportunities!
Getting resume-building experience during college is a critical step in landing a great job after graduation, but many experiences are unpaid and—often—out of reach.
The UMBC Student Internship & Service Fund will support students participating in unpaid internships and service opportunities by offsetting living, transportation, and other expenses.
Unpaid experiences are offered in startups, nonprofits, arts organizations, media and communications, education, human services, and government. In 2017, 25 percent of UMBC students reported having unpaid internships.
Please donate today to give UMBC students an opportunity to gain critical skills, explore potential careers, and create important connections in competitive, creative, and service-oriented fields.
If 200 UMBC alumni, students, family members and friends each donate $50, we will meet our goal.
Your generous support will impact a student's future!
